Youth Court Statistics
Our average One year post completion recidivism rate is 19%.
Our average Three year post completion recidivism rate is 35%.

NBYC has  benefited from a very low recidivism rate. We have measured recidivism one year post youth court completion and three years post youth court completion. Recidivism is based on their ability to stay un-involved with the police or traditional court system. The New Bedford Police Department assists youth court in tracking this data which includes new arrests, charges and convictions.

compliance. The average compliance rate is 92%.

Non-compliance means that they willingly chose to default their
